Grammy nominated engineer and mixer, Jason LaRocca, is formerly known as the singer/guitarist of acclaimed punk band, The Briggs. By the age of eighteen, the Los Angeles native was touring the world as a musician and had also become a full-fledged producer and recording engineer.
Having worked with the gamut of movie studios, he has recorded and mixed music for such major motion pictures as “Alien: Romulus,” “Venom: The Last Dance,” “Bad Boys for Life,” “Paddington,” “Aquaman,” “The Flash” and the Oscar-winning documentary “Icarus.”
Jason also mixed the music for hit video games such as “Fortnite,” “God of War: Ragnarök,” “Call of Duty: Black Ops Cold War,” “Assasin’s Creed Valhalla” and more. In his true multi-faceted style, Jason not only engineers scores, but often produces them as well — creating sound design and instrumentation.
In addition to his film and video game work, Jason has also had his hand in a great deal of television score recording and mixing. His TV credits include “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power,” “Little Fires Everywhere,” "Fellow Travelers," "Locke & Key," "The Offer,” and “Black Mirror.”
Jason has recorded and mixed for such top recording artists as Jay-Z, CeeLo Green, Fiona Apple, Schoolboy Q and Serj Tankian, of System of a Down.
In 2023, Jason earned his first of two Grammy Nominations for his mixing work on the Cast Album release of the hit Broadway musical "Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street” and best video game score nominee, “God of War: Ragnarök.”
Jason kicked off 2025 with the #1 film Den of Thieves 2: Pantera.
